We started In the Music Business around late 1992-1993. One of the first jobs was at a rehearsal facility called Rocket Rentals 451 w 37th st. NYC. Rocket was a midsize rehearsal facility, as well as backline rental company.
During my 3 years of service to Rocket I was able to mix sessions for some of todays top R&B and Reggae Artists. Artists like Beck, Shaggy and SteelPulse Just to name a few.
While at Rocket I first learned of the infamous "ROAD!"
My first road gig was Nasio Fontaine. A genuine nice guy and amazing Reggae Singer. I was able to spend some time traveling in the Caribean. Some of the places we did shows: St.Maarten,Barbados,Dominca,PuertoRico,Grenada,Angulia and Antiguia.
After I had worked for Rocket for a few years I started to work at SIR Studios in NYC. SIR was a full scale production facility. Everything From Backline (Band) Equiptment ,P.A. Gear as well as rehearsal rooms. I dabbled in Quality Control for a while until landing a a job with the rehearsal department. During my employment with SIR I mixed for numerous groups. Everyone from D'Angelo, TribeCalledQuest,KISS,JoanJett, The Corrs , Al Dimeola,MonsterMagnet and many others.
After 2 Years of Working at SIR I moved to Promix. Promix in Mt. Vernon,NY was a theatrical audio shop that dabbled in few Rock Shows. While at Promix I built several Audio Rigs for use in Theatres and Venues.
After a little over a year I left Promix to Work with RSA. RSA Is a full service sound shop located in DearPark, NY . While I still work for RSA mixing many shows and setting up concert sound systems.
I freelanced from this point on. I freelanced at a club in NYC called Irving Plaza. I was the full time freelance monitor engineer for over a year. During my employment with Irving Plaza I worked with many national acts. Groups like Fuel,Tom Petty, The Black Crowes , Kid Rock , The Backstreet Boys, Tori Amos, Slayer, Anthrax, Willie Nelson and many others.
Since Irving Plaza I have been a road whore! I traveled all over the US as the Spin Doctors Monitor Engineer. Traveled With Faith Evans all over the US as Sequencer Technician. Did Production Management and Front of House for Amel Larrieux
Even still more!!
I then started as a monitor engineer for Duran Duran They take me all over the place! From Chile,US,England,Scotland,Moscow,Kiev,St Petersburgh and Tallin,Estonia.
In January We finished a Russian Tour With Duran Duran, And now On June 15th traveled to Japan with Duran Duran.
Had a great time in Bermuda With Patti Labelle
